What is the Spatiq AI Shopping Assistant?
It's an AI shopping agent for Shopify stores, built by Humziq. It sits on your storefront as a chat bubble, answers shopper questions using your own product catalog, compares options, checks stock, and hands shoppers an add-to-cart link when they're ready to buy.
What makes it agentic rather than a regular chatbot?
Instead of replying from a script, the assistant decides which actions to take for each request: searching your catalog, fetching product details, comparing items, checking availability, or creating an add-to-cart link. It only recommends products it has actually found in your store.
Can it recommend products from other stores?
No. Every conversation is scoped to your own catalog only. The assistant never searches or recommends products from any other merchant.
Does the assistant complete purchases?
No. It gives shoppers a link that adds the product to their cart on your store. They review and pay through your normal Shopify checkout.
What access does the app need?
Read-only access to your products. That's what lets it search and describe your catalog. It does not request access to your orders or customer records.
How is it billed?
Billing runs through Shopify. Every store starts on the Free plan with 50 conversations a month. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial, a monthly conversation allowance, and capped overage. A conversation is counted when a shopper starts a new chat; follow-up messages in the same chat are free.
Can I see what shoppers are asking?
Yes. Recent assistant conversations are visible to you as the merchant, so you can learn what shoppers look for and where your catalog has gaps.
